Synopsis

 

 

Argument

 

Beginning of the 21 century the renaissance man is a model of a very remote past. Times where a lifetime was enough to assimilate all sciences and all knowledge are history. In a more complex world, men must adjust to the fact that they can only cover a small part of one field of information, knowledge and practice whether professional or scientific.

 

This simple statement entails enormous consequences. The present state of evolution brings frustration, disorientation and lack of understanding that lead for many to a feeling of weakness and more generally of suffering in many, if not in all aspects of life.

 

Enabling men to engage positively and proactively with life through a facilitated/simplified and more organized way of accessing to knowledge, is a solution to the suffering described. Information is not dumped on the person, knowledge is not forced on or out of the person. Taking into consideration his needs, it is proposed as a tool to develop self-thinking and self-acting and to remain oriented in the realms of the complex and interconnected world.

 

The individual enablement through knowledge can take different path. One privileged way is through communities that are helped firstly to uncover decades of hidden knowledge and secondly to reshape their practice.

 

PresupPosition

 

The main presupposition of the Institute’s work is that men are eager to increase knowledge if it is brought to them outside a transactional mode. May we here attract the attention to the analysis Muhamed YUNNUS is making. Economy is wrong when it analyses human behavior under the sole view point of the “homo economicus”. The transactional approach leads to a spiral of requests and rewards. This spiral is not ending in satisfaction but in endless frustration.

 

Enablement through knowledge is outside the transactional sphere, even if newly acquired capacities will lead not only to increased personal satisfaction but also to greater market value.

The limitations of the Information centred model are obvious. Communication of information is not the point. Development through self-learning and self-acting needs specific tools that enable people, gives them confidence in themselves more then in the teacher.

 

Then there is obviously the task of adapting to the European specificities the research and the tools developed by then Indian research lab “Illumine ltd”.

 

There is no enablement without appropriate communication and teaching tools. The Institute will engage in the necessary efforts to set up these tools and models and to transmit them in the specific best way. Thus a specific communication strategy will be established for each of the engagement protocols, tool or models. For example Illumine has developed a new model for the management of information called the sense respond knowledge management model. Through this model the user or seeker of knowledge is educated as he navigates choices and is able to quickly drill down to specific options within minutes. In other words the user senses out his own solution with the system providing enabling responses at each level.

 

It is one of the main aims of the Institute to favour a structured dialogue that will produce results not only or the people that gather and are directly involved in the dialogue but also to the people outside the Institute an especially those in Industry and Politics that can favour the change. The Institute will do as much advocacy with the industry and the European Union organisation dealing with companies in favour of a more just and equal access to knowledge and especially (Think tank) a more respectful approach of companies towards their role as enabler for the people that are working with them.

The institute has no ambition to become a university that would not tell its name. As it has been stated previously the Institute aims at facilitating access to knowledge, this leads logically to address all people willing to access knowledge.

 

The main focus will be less on the academic but more on the working world without distinction to the form or purpose of the company. However the Institute will not contribute to the development of companies that act outside the ethical outline that is obviously underling the aims and purpose of this Institute. We will not act for the companies that negate humanity and solely target profit irrespective to the needs for freedom, health and safety of men.

 

 

 

How (the what at whom)

 

Some men are religious some are not, some are intellectual some are not. Thus finding a common platform for disseminating information and knowledge is not easy if not impossible to find.

 

However we have made the experience through the work of “Illumine ltd” the Mumbai based research lab that for obvious reasons most men engage with life in the course of their work.

 

 

By whom

 

The Institut is the association of a few highly motivated persons that have a long term experience of the industry or the academic world. 

 

The aim of the Institut is to favor through intellectual work a qualitative evolution the engagement of people with information and knowledge during their education or in their professional or outside their professional path. The ideas and models, that will be the fruit of that intellectual work will be communicated by all possible means such as the organization of seminars, training sessions, round table conferences and writings such as the publication of research reports and training tools. The Institut can intervene in the public debate in order to favor a more just growth of the people and thus of the society.

 

Where

 

Through a close collaboration with India, the Institute will develop and apply the outlaid ideas in Europe.

 

The ambition is to act with the help and support of the European Institutions. Because the problem of access to knowledge is universal the focus on Europe is purely opportunistic but not driven by any restrictive policy.

 

Tools and models can be specifically developed for regions or people in specific needs. Specific needs can mean urgent needs for knowledge in order to make up with evolutionary draw backs or needs that are restricted to a community that could be part of a big company.
